MUTUAL & PROVIDENT FUND

Since 2016, all private sector employers have been obliged to provide a collective health mutual to their employees and to participate in at least 50% of the contribution.
The collective health mutual allows employees to be better reimbursed for their health expenses by ensuring a complement to the reimbursements of the social security.
For its part, the company provident fund is a complementary coverage that allows to protect the employee against the risks of life. Employers are obliged to set up for executive employees a group death benefit contract. In other situations, the establishment of a complementary company provident scheme is optional unless it is imposed by a branch agreement or a collective agreement.
